Built for the People Who Push Their Bodies
Most people who walk through my door aren't just dealing with pain, they're dealing with the fear of what that pain means for the things they love doing. The wrestler who can't go to practice. The hunter who can't make it through a full day in the field. The guy at the gym who keeps tweaking the same shoulder.
I grew up in and around this kind of lifestyle. I know what it means to people around here when their body stops cooperating. My practice inside Allegheny Mountain Fitness exists because I wanted to be where active people already are, so that when something goes wrong, the help is right there.
If you're an athlete, a tradesperson, a weekend warrior, or just someone who refuses to slow down, sports chiropractic care is designed for you.
What Sports Chiropractic Care Actually Does
Sports chiropractic care is chiropractic with a performance and recovery focus. Rather than just managing pain, the goal is to restore the movement, function, and strength your body needs to do what you're asking of it.
That means assessing not just where it hurts, but why it hurts, and what's happening upstream and downstream from that point. A lot of the athletes I see have been dealing with recurring issues for months or years because the root cause was never addressed.
I use chiropractic adjustments alongside soft tissue work, including cupping and manual mobilization, to address both the joint and the tissue around it. For patients at the wrestling compound, I see a lot of acute injuries mid-session and work on getting them back on the mat as quickly and safely as possible.
Experience That Comes From Living It
I'm Dr. Kyle Freeman, DC, and I've been in athletic and physically demanding environments my entire career. I'm currently a Company Commander in the U.S. Army National Guard, 13 years in, responsible for 90 soldiers including medics, EMTs, physicians, and nurses. I've deployed to Poland and run medical operations across Europe, which means I understand high-stakes physical performance and injury management in real conditions.
I practice twice a week at a local wrestling compound where some of the best wrestlers in the region train. Parents drive hours to bring their kids there, and I'm on the mat with them. I see the injuries that happen in real sport, not just the ones that show up in a clinic weeks later.
My chiropractic practice is inside Allegheny Mountain Fitness here in Coudersport, which means I'm already in the environment where athletes train. That context shapes how I treat.

What to Expect at Your First Visit
Step 1: Assessment Your first visit starts with a conversation about what's going on, how it happened, and what it's stopping you from doing. I want to understand your activity level and goals before I touch anything.
Step 2: Treatment Based on what I find, I'll deliver a hands-on adjustment and any soft tissue work that makes sense for your presentation. I'm direct and efficient, most athletes don't want to be in a clinic longer than they need to be.
Step 3: A Plan That Fits Your Life I'll give you a clear picture of what's going on and what we're going to do about it. No vague timelines or unnecessary return visits. If there's a competition coming up or a season to get through, we'll work around that.

Yes. Acute injuries are something I deal with regularly, including at the wrestling compound where injuries happen mid-session. The sooner we look at it, the better the outcome tends to be.
Yes. I incorporate soft tissue mobilization and cupping alongside chiropractic adjustments when appropriate. A lot of sports injuries involve both the joint and the surrounding tissue, and addressing both gets better results.
